2 people killed in Elk County crash

FOX TOWNSHIP – Two people were killed in a one-vehicle crash early Friday morning in Elk County.

Travis Kline, 42, of Kersey, and Jessica Martini, 34, of St. Marys, were pronounced dead at the scene.

State police in Ridgway said the crash occurred at 1:34 a.m. when Martini’s vehicle, a 2004 Buick Rendezvous, failed to negotiate a left-hand curve on Brandy Camp Road.

The car left the road, struck a sign and then a tree.

Police are investigating.

Elk County Coroner Michelle A. Muccio ruled the cause of death for both as massive blunt force trauma to head, chest and extremities.

The manner of death has been ruled accidental.

Toxicology tests will be conducted on Kline and Martini.
