Blair County Historical Society to celebrate 100 years at Baker Mansion

Publish date: 2024-06-08

The Blair County Historical Society is preparing to kick off its 100th anniversary season of residing at, and hosting tours of, the Baker Mansion History Museum.

The society will be hosting a celebration on Sunday, from noon until 4 p.m.

Staff says one way of keeping things interesting for visitors is to change up the exhibits.

This year, they’re unveiling a new exhibit that tells the tale of marriage through the centuries.

The executive director talks about how the museum came to be located inside the mansion and about some of the special exhibits that one can learn about.

There will be food, music, prizes, and guided tours of the mansion.

The tours, which will start at 11 a.m. and run until 2 p.m., cost $10 for adults and $5 for children.
