Death investigation underway in Benezette Township

BENEZETTE, Pa. (WJAC) — UPDATE: Elk County Coroner Michelle A. Mucciohas has ruled the death as natural.

ORIGINAL STORY: State police are conducting an investigation after a man died in Benezette Township.

Authorities responded to Hicks Run Road just before 11 p.m. Saturday, where 54-year-old Donald Dinger, of Smicksburg, had died.

According to a release, authorities believe Dinger died sometime between 7 and 10 p.m.

The cause and manner of death have not been released. The investigation is ongoing.
