Johnstown Generals honored at Pittsburgh Penguins game

PITTSBURGH (WJAC) — The Johnstown Generals veteran hockey team was honored by the Pittsburgh Penguins ahead of Saturday night's game.
The team, which allows active duty and military veterans to play and create fellowship for overcoming mental and physical health challenges, took to the ice at PPG Paints Arena before the game to play with the Pittsburgh Generals, in appreciation of efforts to launch the first disabled veteran hockey league in the United States.
The Penguins took the ice pre-game in jerseys honoring those that served and continue to serve our country, with the General's logo featured on these jerseys.
The jerseys, along with other items are being actioned off with proceeds supporting Friends of the Pittsburgh Fisher House, Warriors, and the Generals. More information on the auction, which runs through Veterans Day, can be found here.
The Generals will host their annual Veterans Day tournament November 11-13. More information can be found here.
