McCort/Bishop Carroll welcome the challenge of this year's co-op

JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — The future of Bishop Carroll football was questioned when the number of student turnout began to dwindle, but Bishop McCort had the answer: to join forces.
The two catholic programs will compete in the LHAC under the leadership of Tom Smith, who took over last year during a pandemic season for the Crushers.
Smith said this season is more conventional than last year but is still somewhat unconventional because of the union.
Both teams have taken the practice field in Ferndale and Coach Smith said so far, it has gone well and that good energy started well before these teams even met.
Coach Smith told me the players reached out on social before even stepping on the field, and both sides have welcomed the challenge of learning together.
The players say that when you have similar work ethics, things will fall into place, not just for this season, but for the years to come.
Bishop McCort will play at Forest Hills to kick off our Friday Night Rivals games, which will be aired on ME-TV on August 27th.
