One dead in overnight house fire in Huntingdon

HUNTINGDON, Pa. (WJAC) — A woman is dead after a fire broke out in an apartment duplex overnight in Huntingdon County.
It happened at a duplex on Mifflin Street in Huntingdon, according to emergency dispatchers.
According to Huntingdon Regional Fire and Rescue Fire Chief, crews were called to the scene around 1:45 a.m Thursday.
Authorities said crews were on scene for several hours battling the blaze, clearing the scene at 5:45 a.m.
According to fire crews, the left side of the duplex is a total loss, and the other side suffered smoke and water damage.
A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
