Police say a Pittsburgh defense attorney has been charged in Jefferson County after he allegedly solicited sex from what he believed was a 15-year-old girl.

Police say that starting in October, 33-year-old Paul Luvara, of Bridgeville, began sending sexually explicit messages to the group 814 Pred Hunters, which was posing as the teenager.

In the messages, Luvara allegedly tells the “girl” about a sexual interaction he had with a 14-year-old and states that he wants to have sex with her before she turns 16.

Police say on Saturday, Luvara was arrested in a McDonald’s parking lot in Punxsutawney Borough where he believed he was going to meet the “girl.”

Luvara has been charged with multiple sex offenses, including criminal attempt felonies for statutory sexual assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.

He was being housed in the Jefferson County jail before posting bail on Monday.
