Red Mill Road Bridge in Cambria County to be replaced after years-long closure

BLACKLICK TWP, Pa. (WJAC) — A bridge in Cambria County that has been closed for more than 10 years could soon be replaced.
Cambria County Commissioner Tom Chernisky says the Red Mill Road Bridge in Blacklick Township has been ignored for years.
It was one of the county's 10 bridges that were designated as structurally deficient in 2016.
The executive director for the Cambria County Planning Commission says it is now the very last project to be completed.
The replacement will begin next year.
The plans call for a modern 18-foot wide two-lane concrete bridge.
The commissioners say this was made possible by Act 89 which was passed in 2013.
