State police ID victim of crash on I-80 in Clearfield County

State police say a Virginia woman was killed in a crash on Interstate 80 Tuesday in Clearfield County.

Troopers identified the victim as 29-year-old Nirali Bhatt of Lorton.

They say Bhatt was the passenger in a car traveling east on I-80 in Bradford Township.

They say the driver of the vehicle lost control, spun out, hit a guide rail and overturned.

They say Bhatt was partially ejected and pinned underneath the vehicle suffering fatal injuries.

Bhatt was not wearing a seatbelt, according to state police.

Troopers say the driver was possibly injured.

They say there was also a baby in the vehicle but it’s unknown if the child was injured.

One person is dead after a vehicle accident on Interstate 80 in Clearfield County Tuesday, the Clearfield County Coroner's Office confirmed.

While details are limited at this time, officials say the crash happened just before 5 p.m.
